Donald Trump shared what he thinks about Democrats and their impact on inner cities. The president sat down with FOX’s Sean Hannity to discuss how to bring economic opportunity and safety to urban areas.
President Trump’s response:
“If you look at what’s happened in our inner cities it’s horrible. What’s going on in terms of the death? In terms of shooting. A woman gets up and wants to go and walk with her beautiful daughter to get a loaf of bread and she ends up getting shot, Or the daughter gets shot–and we could stop it.”
“Don’t forget the Democrats have ruled the inner cities for 100 years. This is their rule, very rarely you have a Republican there, that could be turned around. We could do so many things. But the Democrats have truly ruled and when I was running I would always say [to the inner cities] ‘What do you have to lose’?”
I’m reading the statistics of a certain inner city, which was terrible. Education is terrible. The crime rate is terrible. Every single element economic development –jobs are? Everybody was unemployed. And I look at the audience and I’m saying ‘What the hell do you have to lose?’ The place went crazy…”
