Lebron James has scored in the double digits in his last 800-plus consecutive games, so it’s a safe bet that he will lock-up the seven he needs to become the youngest player to ever rack up 30,000 career points, sometime during the first half of the Cavs’ matchup against the Spurs in San Antonio on Tuesday night, January 23.

In bearing the confidence that history has set this day aside for him, the 33-year-old future Hall of Famer wasted no time in acknowledging himself for staying the course and putting in hard work on his road to reaching the mark.

“Wanna be one of the first to Congratulate you on this accomplishment/achievement tonight that you’ll reach!” James wrote in the caption of an Instagram photo he posted of himself in his St. Vincent–St. Mary High School uniform. “Only a handful has reach/seen it too, and while I know it’s never been a goal of yours from the beginning try(please try) to take a moment for yourself on how you’ve done it!”

James went on to note the company he’ll be joining – in Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Karl Malone, Kobe Bryant, Michael Jordan, Wilt Chamberlain and DirkNowitzki – as the only other players in the game’s history to have scored as many points. He then brought his reflection to a close by reminding himself to turn his eyes up and express gratitude to the most-high the game is called to a stop and the arena stands to applaud him for the historic milestone.

“When u finally get your moment(alone) to yourself smile, look up to the higher skies and say THANK YOU! So with that said, Congrats again Young King,” he wrote. “1 Love!”
